The Living Room Restaurant - Calgary

Good place with a pleasant terrace for dinner at a reasonable price price. pier, oysters or pasta are richy. dishes are not copious but you can finish with a very successful crème brulée.

The patio at the Livingroom on a warm summer evening is the absolute best place to be. A very friendly wait staff as well as an interesting, but limited menu we enjoyed cocktails while perusing the menu. We shared the watermelon and burrata salad and started with oysters - yum - and the white gazpacho soup -- what presentation and the taste and flavour lived up to the presentation! Prawn Strozza was the second course for both of us. A bottle of Rose accompanied us over dinner. Dessert consisted of petit fours and the white chocolate carmelized cake with rhubarb and coffees. A lovely evening and a patio to which we would return.

It's been a while since I've been to The Living Room. I wanted a patio that I could make a reservation for a Saturday at with 24 hrs notice and they were able to accommodate! It's a great patio because you are on 17th but it's secluded enough that the street traffic, especially during stampede, was not distracting.Our server was amazing. He made several recommendations for food and beverage and none of them were disappointing. The plum cocktail is delicious. Their beef tartar is one of the best...mixed tableside. And there is a little something for everyone on the menu, both carnivore and vegetarian. Again, the service was impeccable. Trust the staff recommendations. They know what they are talking about. There is a reason why this restaurant continues to thrive on a street that is notorious for seeing other businesses come and go. Will gladly return.

My son wanted to have fondue for his birthday and we went there with the family. It was a good experience. Both the cheese and chocolate fondues were good and our waiter was very nice. It is more a couple or happy hour restaurant but worked well for the family also. Bit expensive.

We come here every time we visit Calgary. Friendly staff who remember us by name and always quick on serving up some drinks! The food is tasty and good to either share or have your own plate.Highly recommend the Shaft drinks, a wonderfully refreshing iced coffee drink with kaluha and milk (or if you're lactose free they have almond milk)! my partner and I always visit the living room a few times while we are in town
