Had the French onion soup. Onions are supposed to be carmelized. This one wasn’t. So onion soup, not French. I really hate it when a classic is messed with. Had the fish and chips. Huge portion of fish! Good fish! The tartar sauce was bland....So was the coleslaw. Slaw needs a little more flavour. The mushed peas need to be something else. Another had the gyoza. Yummy but cold. Also had the fish tacos and those were plenty and quite good. Disappointing food with some hopes to do better. Hope they read this as I enjoy the locale.
My family recently relocated to the far northwest of Calgary and we were in search of a new pizza spot. We tried out Lookout restaurant and it exceeded all of our expectations! The pizza was outstanding, the Caesar salad was delicious, and we will definitely be ordering from here again in the future.
I attempted to dine at this restaurant but ended up standing by the door for 10 minutes. Despite there being only about 4 occupied tables in the restaurant and the staff not appearing too busy, 2 servers and a possible manager walked past me multiple times without acknowledging my presence. Due to this poor service, I have no intention of giving this place another try and would advise others to avoid it as well.
Just a birthday dinner at The Lookout and really enjoyed our meal. The menu had a large selection, the food was super tasty, the prices are reasonable, the service was great (thanks to Lauren) and the view from the terrace was fabulous. The Notorious P.I.G....Burger was huge and tasty, the BBQ Maple pulled pigs tacos were loaded and the ginger beef was great. We ended up with a fantastic Apple Pie Panini. We'll be back soon!
