Vendome Cafe - Calgary

The hostess was so rude, we said we had to frustrate her, she agreed!!! In which universe would an employee treat such a customer?? Said her in the most respectful way she had such a bad mood. What she told us, how we frustrated her. I asked to talk to her manager, in which her answer (with a close lip service) was that she was the manager, so I said that I think that everything else was to do left a review that she would have agreed best. Needless to say, we tried to enjoy the coffee we had already ordered, excused us from the order and left. What a cleaning experience in this café. I am sure that someone in our party does not want to support this institution due to inappropriate treatment. Too bad.

This used to be a nice café, but now a Slick restaurant with virtually no interior for the café gardeners. Disappointed, least to say. Maybe not be back even though her latte is the best.

We have recently dined with another couple and our 2 Tween-Alter children. This restaurant was very recommended and it was not disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with a warm, friendly and efficient service. The drinks and the food arrived with perfect timing. They have completely neglected the ambience and the establishment of this building of the cultural heritage. Our server went beyond and beyond to make sure that our experience was enjoyable, including go next to the sister restaurant (a Gelato and Donut Café) to get dessert for our children! Wow! She was also exceptionally informed about the wine she served. It is obvious that she was well trained and tried very hard. Honestly, it is very difficult to find the magical combination of exceptional food, good service with ambience and flair. I'm so glad we made the snowstorm brave to go for dinner, we will definitely come back! Thank you.

Ordered a coffee and food from Barrista. A person sits at the bar with many open seats and many open tables, but you cannot sit there unless you order from the menu. Just sit two tables when you order from Barrista. It was forced to take, even though the place was empty.

I dropped in hoping for a late breakfast well past the lunch hour and was happy to discover they serve breakfast until 3pm. The bacon and eggs were good and the decaf American super delicious. The service was excellent and the ambience welcoming. I would love to return for one of their theme dinners.
