The young lady that took our order was very friendly! She was eager to answer any questions and was happy to provide info to my husband about where to find Horchatta. The decor of the restaurant could really use some improvements if I am being honest. When it comes to the food I had higher expectations. The Supreme Nachos were not really worth what we paid for them. We got the shredded chicken that was not really shredded. Just large clumps of chicken covered by large clumps of lettuce and smothered with cheese and sour cream and a thick slice of tomato. We also ordered the Fajitas Ranchero which wasn't all that bad. The rice was very tasty and the Mexican salad was pretty much a repeat of the nacho toppings without the cheese. I probably would not spend my money at this establishment again. The only reason they got 3 stars is because of the service from the young woman who took our order. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
For Callahan I guess you could say this is a pretty decent place, however their only competition is taco Bell so take it how you want. The place seemed a little dated and run down a bit, not dirty but could use an update. When you show up someone takes your order and brings you a drink and that's about the only time you see them unless they swing by for a drink refill. As for the food I personally would drive to town and get Cinco de Mayo or LA NOPALERA but if you eat here I got a beef quesadilla and tostada. It came with some super funny refried beans and dried out Mexican rice. The tostada had some can dog food looking beef and sour cream consistency melted cheese and the same with the quesadilla. You would hope ok it looks unappealing but maybe it has good flavor. Well guess what wrong again, it had the flavor of eating fresh grandma made beef stew compared to Dinty Moore beef stew. This was the Dinty Moore Mexican equivalent. To say the least that was my last visit to El Toro and would not recommend this place to anyone. It was just alright. No liquor so margaritas are wine based. I don't think that's their fault. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
