Artisan Food Co. - Callander

This place is no longer in Callander. Apparently deserted the local area for the big city of North Bay where there are lots of places to eat already.

This is a second restaurant under the Artisan Food Co and it is tiny in size. You cannot make reservations so you are smart to go a few minutes early for lunch if you can. This is a very popular spot with good reason. The food is delicious! The staff are welcoming and attentive.

We came across this restaurant while driving and decided to try it out based on the great reviews on TripAdvisor. It was definitely a 5-star meal. We ordered the chowder and sandwich and both dishes were delicious. The chowder was packed with fish and very hearty, while the wrap and sandwich were filled with fresh flavors. The side dish of mixed beans was a nice and tasty addition. We will definitely be stopping by on our trips to Callendar.

We have eaten at the Artisan Food Co. several times, both for lunch and the specialty evening dinners and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable and the service is personal and friendly - very genuine! The restaurant is quite accessible with free parking.

My favourite restaurant in the area. Menu is fresh, interesting and modern. Service is excellent. Really enjoyed their monthly dinner event, especially since you can bring your own wine with a very reasonable corkage fee.
