RESTAURANTE EL CLAUSTRO

This was our favorite dining experience of the trip. From the time we arrived till the last bite, everything was perfect. Our server Manuel was great. He even helped with a food restriction in our party. Such an amazing dinner with wine pairing, can’t say enough. The restaurant was also very beautiful, like a fairytale really. Must do !

This is a superb restaurant one of the best we’ve ever been to. Chef Laura and our server, Manuel, made this an amazing experience. Everything about the evening was beautifully planned and the food was out of this world.

Environment on the square, at the center was delighful. Great food, each creation blends on a very good wave local flavors, marvelous food. Wine chart could be more interesting (small selections of wines) for the quality, great food and impecable service, deserves a better wine selection, surprising the guest with a delightful colection and tastes.

The truth is that we ate pretty well and that the service was very friendly. A bit too friendly eventually. We had several people serving our meal (and not necessarily super coordinated). However, sitting inside makes the whole experience a bit disappointing, as you get the chance to see the stunning outdoors before you are led to an ordinary table inside. The fish tartar is a must as an appetizer! And staying outside should be pretty cool too

We arrived with high expectations about this place and the entrance couldnt be more beautiful...walking through the patio in the night filled with lots of candles everywhere, beautiful plants, lovely building is almost magic.But howevere beautiful the terrace is it was so hot that we decided to sit inside, for the a/c and that is when it all went wrong. It was not working or was broken (and they knew because they put fans). That should have been said before we got our table. After some minutes we were very uncomfortable for the extreme heat. The restaurant is very nice but unbearable without a/c. For dessert the waitress realised how terrible it was that she invited us to the cava to eat our desserts, very much appreciated but we already wanted to leave.The food and servuce was good but we couldnt really enjoy anything due to the heat. The bread was amazing, the corn bread and blue cheese bread...outstanding !The tartares were good and made in the table and the rest was very good.I would definitely return but only if I am sure the a/c is working to perfection. Cartagena is so hot that this is a break point for us.
