The Best In Town! The wontons are excellent. They are prepared differently than in the States and I prefer them. Great atmosphere and amazing food.
There are quite a few choices for chifa in Pucallpa, but Chifa Dragon de Oro is my top pick. The wontons are made differently than in the States and I prefer the way they make them. They are excellent! Everything I have tried has been perfect. Good atmosphere and great food!
This is our favorite chifa in Pucallpa. We usually go when we have a larger group because we can order one of their group dishes (the one for 4 will usually feed about 7 people!...unless there are teenage boys in our group) for a pretty reasonable rate. You can definitely go to cheaper but good chifas; however, this is one I would use for visitors whose stomachs might not quite be up to all the "bugs" in this city.
We enjoyed having dinner here with a group of ladies. There were nine of us, and there was a nice round table with a lazy susan in the midst of it so that we could share. We got about 5 plates with two large dishes of rice. Get the the arroz chaufa not the plain rice because it is REALLY plain. We each spent about $7 and had plenty to go around. They didn't have any juices available so we ended up getting bottles of water.
