We didn’t try the food, as our focus was on the beverages. The beer selection featured intriguing names inspired by local cities, which was enjoyable since we recognized most of them. The brews we tried were excellent, and there was a wide variety to choose from. We will definitely return and highly recommend this brewery.
I'm originally from West, Texas, a town with Czech roots where "Pivo" just means beer. I think it's a fitting name for this brewery, as their selection of beers is extensive. Everyone in my group who knows their beer was impressed, claiming that each one they tried was spot-on and a perfect representation of its style. I enjoyed a delicious Cuban sandwich, although it was a bit on the smaller side. Our server was friendly and attentive. I discovered a new favorite beer, making our visit well worth it!
In the small town of Calmar, IA, they're brewing some excellent beer! The brewery has a lovely atmosphere and is locally owned, featuring fun artwork for purchase along with the usual brewery merchandise. We opted for a flight of various beers, allowing us to sample around eight different options, and each one was fantastic! It's definitely worth the drive, no matter where you're coming from!
Owners were amazing! Food was great! Best soft pretzel ever! So many local beers to choose from! Gift shop was adorable with home made gifts, T shirts and more. Prices were completely reasonable!
Nice casual, quaint and quiet little bar. Clean floors too. Doesn't look like a beat up old tavern for an old place. (Don't know how old it actually is. Visited on off days- Sunday and Monday.
