Blue Orchid Thai Restaurant - Caloundra

This retaurant is hot & cold in there approach to what is when they get it right a great place to eat...I think it depends on how busy they are!!We have been eating there for 15 years or more...we have had some fantatic Thai food there....but as said they are up & down like a yo yo"Be aware that the restaurant is on the first floor & there are some pretty steep stairs to negotiate,not for elderly or wheel chair access,the drinks are a little pricey & the service is scratchy as well,depending on the night!To sum up> worth a go just hope you pick the right time to visit :)

Hubby, a friend and I just walked in without a booking for a very tasty dinner at Blue Orchid. We were seated immediately, brought menus and cold water right away. Meals were the tastiest we've eaten at this restaurant, even better than last time we were there. Very good service. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the restaurant interior itself is dated and needs freshening up, making the overall experience a little bit of a let-down. Again, let me say the food and service were terrific!

We had the panang curry lovely favour and pad thai only thing I found was could have been bigger servings great prices for Alcohol was reasonable prices we went there tonight lovely atmosphere

Short review: The food was great. I remember when the sauce for Chicken and Cashew Nut was rich and dark but for ages around Brisbane they are all grey and watery. Not here. Fantastic sauces. Too far to drive for Thai takeaway? Hmmmm....
