Baydal - Calp

Starters were great but the house speciality was full of bones! Given that monk fish is the easiest fish to bone (one bone) we didn't expect any at all so it was either not monk fish or a careless chef??

Awful, unfriendly service, overpriced and tasteless food. It has deteriorated in the decades since my family has been going there. Honestly, there are much better places to go to for a Paella in Calpe. This is certainly NOT a customer friendly place!! Never again.

This restaurant was recommend to us by a local friend. After spending most of the morning exploring the Calas of the Passeig Ecològic de Benissa, we came to Baydal to have lunch. It was quite busy but it did not take long for us to be seated (We called ahead of time though). This is a popular restaurant, with decent portions and fair prices. We shared a black rice and had deep fried fish. The service was in line with the amount of guests and we have no complaints.
