Upon arriving at the restaurant, we found no host or hostess to assist us in getting seated, so we took it upon ourselves to sit at the bar. Despite this, the service we received was prompt and efficient. The food we ordered was exceptional, and we plan to return to the establishment in the future.However, there were a couple of issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the bar area requires a thorough cleaning to ensure that it meets the standards expected by guests. Secondly, the bartender was observed sneezing into his hand when dealing with customers, which is not a hygienic practice and could potentially lead to the spread of germs. This behavior should be corrected as soon as possible to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons.

Order the chips and salsa because that took 30 mins to get to our table and then add another 35 more minutes for the basic food to arrive not busy, no one cares and so much better options around

Just returned home to the UK after almost 2 weeks in the US split between NYC and Washington D.C. During this time we have eaten at some fantastic restaurants, enjoyed great service and food. This place however was not one of them. When the waiter eventually arrived my wife and I eventually ordered a selection of Tacos, 3 each but containing 2 different pork recipes. After an shortish period our waiter reappeared with a plate containing 1 solitary Taco. Puzzlement was etched across our faces, I tried to explain that wasn’t what we ordered which proved difficult due to his seemingly limited grasp of English. When the food did appear they were put down with no explanation as to who’s meal was who’s, I would have asked him but there seemed little point. Anyway, they were ok, as was the beer. We decided not to opt for dessert, so asked for the cheque. It seemed high for what we’d ordered until we noticed they’ restaurant had awarded themselves a whopping 22% tip. This apparently is allowed in the US, and was 20% more than what the service deserved. Do yourself a favour and eat at the silver diner instead.

This place is great. Josh was amazing and so helpful. This is the place to go in DC. Dietary restrictions: I have Celiac and never had an issue.

Great lunch. We were seated right away, even got to pick our own table. The service was very attentive and we both really enjoyed our food Chicken Tinga tacos and Mango Shrimp tacos. I'm not a fan of the table tent saying there's a 22% service charge added. Just add the amount to the price of the food. I want the service people to be paid a good wage. Saying you're adding the service charge seems a little passive aggressive to me. It's also confusing do we still tip (we did) ? Overall, good experience and excellent food. I would and have recommended to friends.
