Contribuisci feedbackDined for Happy Hour recently to great disappointment. I ordered the cassoulet which was a greasy crock of overcooked beans, more like mashed potatoes. The sausages were so finely diced that I did not recognize or taste them. I sent it back to replace it with the $9 hamburger, served on an untoasted bun, drenched in a special sauce, eerily reminiscent of Hot Shoppes ' Mighty Mo Burger in the 60s. The burger was thin and salty, and I left most of it on my plate. All in all, the bill was $30 with 2 glasses of wine, and the 20% mandatory surcharge. Definitely an unhappy hour.My experience with this establishment has been up and down and I 'm finally ready to throw in the towel.
I was in a large group, and the experience bess excellent the service was stellar and the food delicious! Vegetarian options: The gnocchi was really excellent
Some of the menu options were better than others. I REALLY liked the Beef bourguignon. We had some pates which were interesting. Desert had nice presentation. Service was amazing and the drinks were good.
We had a party of almost 30 people in the private room, and Elvis was absolutely wonderful in organizing the event with me during the two weeks prior. The service was great, as was the meal and everything else, all adding up to a highly recommended place for a private event. Merci beaucoup, Chef Cédric.
A wonderful meal at Convivial last night. We tried two new dishes a perfectly pan seared whole bronzino (fantastic) and an absolutely spectacular burrata presentation (smokey eggplant, zesty peppers and capers plus crispy potato crumbs made for one of the most delicious, memorable plates we've had in a long time). Convivial is just a great restaurant. Kind, efficient service provided with real warmth, simply wonderful food, and a very good value. $14 cocktails and a wine list with a nice sprinkling of choices under $60, generous portions that make sharing a pleasure instead of a geometry exercise, if we lived 10 blocks closer we'd be fixtures at the bar!
