Park police building on north side of the island, parked for free on the south end. After the sun came up had some beautiful views of DC across the Potomac. A captive audience, my kids and I recently dined at the Potomac Grill at East Potomac Golf Course. Given the choice, I would have walked out and skipped lunch altogether. In Washington, D.C. for a few days, my kids and I took a tour offered by the Department of the Interior. Lunch was self pay at the Potomac Grill. Nice enough place for a quick lunch, but that 's where the hospitality ended. Several menu items were not available according to staff. Our server Micah
Great service and very unique and good tasting french fried potatoes, cut in a spiral. The amount food you get is more than adequate and tasted great, couldn't finish it all.
Parked here for cherry blossom it was a long walk but there is shuttle for $1/person
Potomac Grille at this public golf course is the best kept secret for an inexpensive meal in downtown DC. Minutes from the memorials by car (free parking) and a reasonable walk from the Jefferson Memorial stop on the Circulator Bus Mall Route, they offer inexpensive food including breakfast all day.
