The only positive is the setting, it is one of the best in Georgetown, but the stale sea-food and the absent service made the ordeal to frustrating to enjoy. I would have rather gone to Long John Silvers.
The food was excellent. The bar was slightly expensive, but the food was quite reasonable. Dinner for two, including raw oysters, soup, seafood entree, dessert, and wine ran about $140 before tip. The service was good, and the building is beautiful. I will definitely return.
The restaurant was beautiful, although a bit loud. My entree (the sashimi tuna) was extremely salty it's the only flavor I could even pick out and my date's entree (cod or some white fish with veggies on top) was so bland I would've opted for a McD's fish sandwich at least it's tasty and cheap. Sea Catch was outrageously expensive. I don't mind paying $60+ (which is what we paid) for a fabulous meal but in the end I was extremely disappointed and will never go back. Outrageous prices and poor quality food is the bottom line.
The place seemed okay until we opened the menu. The tiny selection paired with the high price (in perspective to what you get) made for a difficult choice. Also you can't substitute sides thus tacking on another 3-4 bucks. The food was great unless taste appeals to you. They also charged us for our OWN cake! These factors combined with a few other things such as horrible traffic and the valet slamming my car into the wall (in all fairness, which is not the fault of the restaurant in anyway) made for an evening that I surely will not forget. All-in-all I rather hit taco bell and the rest of the party agreed.
