I have nothing but very positive things to say about the food. It was my second visit and first time doing the full 8-course menu after previously doing the 3-course bar menu, and I'm glad I got to have the full experience. However, I unfortunately had to take off a star for the length of the experience. Had a 9pm reservation and, although I greatly appreciate the comped drinks and thorough apologies, not being seated until 9:35 was a rough start. After that, we also occasionally had lengthy gaps between courses and in the end, dinner ended past midnight for us. I'd go back but would definitely hesitate to go on the later side and may just opt for the 3-course menu again.
A delightful flavor explosion in every course. So much attention to detail. There was not one crumb that was not outstanding. Staff were perfect explained and were not overbearing.
Service was warm and quite charming but spotty. At the beginning, food and drinks were brought promptly but after the main course, it took much longer to get a server for additional drinks. And after we ordered those drinks it took a very, very long time for them to arrive. The food was imaginatively presented with beautiful dishes and glassware but very modest in quantity and shockingly expensive for what was served. In all, I can't say it was a good value for what was served and what it cost.
Delicious food in a relaxed , beautiful setting. Think three course or a la carte may be better value than the 6 course and the service was pretty slow when we arrived... drinks are great and ingenious
