Unassuming, simple, rustic, affordable and of absolutely exquisite quality and friendly, efficient service. This is a gem out of the beaten track, not to be missed by meat lovers. And the chicken is very good too!

Great place to eat! The staff was incredibly kind! Love it! Even though the restaurant was fulll they quickly arranged a table for us. recommend this restaurant, the price is cheap and the typical espetada is great.

It’s a local restaurant set in a residential neighbourhood some way out of town. You definitely need a car to get there. It’s very popular with locals. Small menu with a choice of roast chicken, espetada (beef on skewer) and some side dishes fries,...salad, garlic bread and fried maze; the speciality being the espetada which was very good tender and flavourful. The other dishes I found to be very mediocre chicken was quite dry and flavourless and the fries were greasy, soggy and under seasoned. But I guess everyone comes here for the beef which in fairness is very good.

This restaurant is well known to Madeirans and few tourists have found it. Not large but the meat is fillet and not the chewy stuff that is typical in the big espetada halls. The frango is brilliant too. Good wine selection and not expensive Took...some friends and they are sure to go again without us
