Café Ficelle - Camarillo

We've gone to this place several times now, and it's become really hit and miss. The service used to be (and sometimes still is) really lovely and the bread/pastries were great. But more and more often, it's more like today's experience where the service acts bored or annoyed, and the pastries are disappointing English muffins seemed cooked in rancid oil, and the special weekend pastry was fine, but too bready rather than flaky. All of which is especially frustrating when you're paying $4 7 for any pastry item.I used to recommend them to visitors but given how hit and miss they've become, I don't bother mentioning them anymore.

My all time favorite breakfast/brunch takeout, however they don’t alway answer the phone especially on weekends. I love the monsieur croquet sandwich!! I also enjoy the waffle meal and quiche, Lorraine!

Quelle expérience fantastique pour une halte matinale! What a fantastic experience for a morning stop! The food is outrageously delicious and fresh, the coffee is proper hot and the latés are delicious, cannot wait to return. Merveilleuse!

One of the best croissants I’ve ever had (including the ones from Paris)

BRO BEST CREPES IVE EVER HAD, me and my mom went there cause she got a gift card to there from work, and omg. I got the banana Nutella crepes with strawberries and honestly eating it made me feel like I was back in the womb again I swear. Litteraly soooo yummy!! Reminds me of a French cafe in Ventura that shut down cuz of Covid that I always used to go with my sister (cafe de suro). I totally recommend this place for breakfast!!! Thank you!!
