This is the best German food I've had in L.A. The brats are fantastic try the spicy one if you like some kick and the German potato salad is the perfect side to go with it. I went there with a group of people from work and they have lots of large tables for big parties. The servers were super helpful and gave us samples of several German beers so we could make the right choice. Will be back again this weekend....
Came in around 6 on a Friday night, they had live entertainment, great food, and amazing service! It's very family friendly and the decor makes you feel like you're sitting in a bier-garden in Germany. I'll definitely be coming back!
For me this place is all about the live music and the energy that Festmeister Hans and his sauerkrauts bring to the room on the weekends. The decor of this place is like an old village and also a beer garden. The musicians sing and interact with the patrons all over this restaurant and they even stand on tables. If you go here, and I do recommend you go, be ready to sing and participate. It’s fun to sing along and clap in my opinion. We’ve been here a couple of times and the food was really good both times. Pictured below is the chicken schnitzel (mushroom gravy on the side) and the cucumber salad. The sausages are also really good. The service is a bit challenged.. you might get your food at different times at the same table.. that happened both times we were here. That’s fixable.
This place has a nice atmosphere and it’s good for families. There’s a cool little train that runs on a track around the entire restaurant. Food was not bad but I wouldn’t say ‘great’. It was a bit overpriced $5/6 for a side of sauerkraut??? $8 for a slice of chocolate cake??? BUT the singer and entertainer that’s there on Friday and Saturday nights was fun and that’s probably what you’re paying for. The servers were friendly. It would be good if I had family visiting and wanted to go some place close and a little lively. Glad I checked it out but on an average sat night, I probably wouldn’t go back.
