The spring rolls were slimy, the chips were soft and cold, and the spare ribs were greasy. I hope they can return to their former excellence, otherwise we won't be dining there again.
I must say, the staff at this restaurant were extremely friendly and accommodating. The set menu was fantastic - the chicken balls were crispy and filled with tender chicken, the beef was cooked perfectly, and the rice was so tasty that I could have eaten it on its own! I am new to Cambridge, but I have definitely found my new favorite takeaway spot.
After sampling approximately 20 Chinese takeout restaurants in Cambridge, I can confidently say that this is the only one that knows how to make a proper spring roll. Their spring rolls are made with thin, crispy sheets of batter, unlike the other places that serve abominations resembling crispy tumors. The prices are reasonable, the Kung Pao Chicken is outstanding. The only improvement would be to add more flavor to the rice. We visit this place at least once a week and have no desire to go anywhere else.
Ordered via Just Eat and arrived hot but that’s as good as it got. Flavourless, the rice seemed more like boiled than fried, very little ingredients added, thankfully I ordered curry sauce so at least this disguised the otherwise bland taste. Prawn toast was more like fried bread sprinkled with sesame seeds. Poor quality and value £15).
Order from here regularly and the food is always amazing. Fast delivery and good portions, can't fault it.
