Contribuisci feedbackWe visited the Trumpington Street branch for afternoon tea and were extremely disappointed with the experience. Priced at 23.99 per person, we had high expectations but unfortunately, everything fell short. The fresh mint tea I ordered was served in a tiny pot and I had to make it last the entire meal as refills were not offered. The sandwiches were dry and missing one of the advertised fillings (ham and mustard). After sending it back, we received a second batch with flaked ham but still no mustard. The selection of cakes was overly sweet and lacked variety, although the fruit scones were a highlight. We felt overcharged, especially when a 10% tip was automatically added to the bill without our consent. Despite voicing our concerns, there was no effort made to rectify the situation. Overall, it was a disappointing and expensive experience, and we will not be returning to Fitzbillies nor recommending it to others. With the same amount of money, we could have enjoyed a much better three-course meal elsewhere.
If you are in Cambridge you must stop here and try something or a hot drink. Really great food and tempting treats
A good coffee and a delicious Chelsea bungee. Service was a little slow and we were lucky to get there before the rush. I hope back.
We visited twice on our trip to Cambridge. Great spot for a coffee and cake. The Chelsea back is a must! A large menu choice for all to enjoy.
A very strangely polarised meal in terms of quality. The best cheese toastie I have ever eaten, accompanied by a “super food” side salad completely undressed and so dry and inedible that even my husband (who’ll eat anything) admitted defeat. No dressing was available on...request. So odd.
