Contribuisci feedbackEver since I discovered this hidden gem of a cafe, I have found every opportunity to return! They offer a separate vegan menu, which was checked and updated at the time of my last visit due to its popularity. The menu features a variety of delicious homemade options at very affordable prices. From sandwiches with a choice of vegan fillings to a satisfying vegan breakfast, the food is truly exceptional. I must say, the boiled vegan breakfast was the best thing I have ever eaten, especially at the unbeatable price of £5.00, including a cup of tea. Don't forget to check out the cake section while you wait to order - the vegan jack pie is a must-try. The cafe is located within the Emmaus site, which is a large charity shop filled with second-hand treasures before you even enter the cafe itself. To top it off, dogs are welcome inside and in the sunny outdoor seating area. Ideal for rainy days or leisurely afternoons.
I recently discovered this quaint café and have been returning as often as I can! They offer a separate vegan menu, which was very popular when I last visited. The menu includes a variety of delicious homemade options at very affordable prices. From customizable sandwiches to a mouth-watering cooked vegan breakfast, everything I tried was fantastic. The café is located at the Emmaus site, which also features a large charity shop with second-hand treasures. Don't forget to check out the vegan chocolate cake and peanut butter jacket in the cake section. Dogs are welcome inside and in the outdoor seating area, making it a perfect spot rain or shine.
There's a great variety of food available for both breakfast and lunch, all at reasonable prices and good quality. I recommend arriving early for breakfast, ideally before 12:30. The staff are consistently friendly, making it a lovely place to visit on a Sunday. I also encourage supporting the restaurant by visiting and contributing items; there's something for everyone.
Thank you for your response to my initial review and I am pleased to learn that you have plans to introduce a price list for cakes. Had one been in existence at the time of our visit we would, of course , have known that we'd been overcharged by £1.25. Anyway, as I have made clear we do support your vital work and have done for many years. Good luck in the future and thanks again for taking the time and trouble to respond to my comments.
The staff is friendly, the cakes are delicious (as shown in the pictures), and there's a vast selection of books, furniture, dishes, and kitchen utensils (also pictured). The food deal, which includes a sandwich or roll, a crispy item, and a drink for just £3, is a fantastic bargain. It's definitely worth a visit, and it's a great place overall.
