Maypole Public House - Cambridge

Fast becoming my favourite Cambridge Pub. The Italian food is great and the family that run it are always welcoming. Eating lunch there accompanied with young children was a very comfortable experience. There is am extensive range of beers and the coffee is good too.

Outstanding Italian cuisine as good as you’ll find anywhere. A huge 12 out of 10 for the rigatoni ragu. Friendly service with a smile. A big hit from a big foodie. Looking forward to our return. Bellissimo

If you’re looking for consistently good food, excellent drinks, cocktails, brilliant atmosphere and great crowd overall this is your spot. Cambridge is blessed to have this independent, family run business at the heart of the centre. Service is above anything you’d expect, the staff are friendly and happy to help, and even the crowd is all friendly and good vibes. The pub has a history of cocktails from award winning family, and Italian roots so the kitchen is Italian street food meets British pub. Such a unique menu made with finesse. The drinks are carefully selected and craft beer, different to any taps you see anywhere else and genuinely tasty, different beers. This is the place to be, for any occasion. Don’t miss out!

Myself and my boyfriend returned here on Sunday for our first anniversary as it is where we initially met, and the staff were just so so lovely, they heard it was a celebration for us so brought a delicious brownie with a candle! Totally unexpected and such a kind gesture, will definitely be returning regularly and highly recommend. Such a lovely outdoor area too and delicious food!

Fantastic place! We sat in the beer garden under a heater and had beer and pizza and honestly it was the best pizza I have had in a long time. It was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was really good. If we were local we would frequent this place all the time.
