The Locker Cafe - Cambridge

Great vegan options. Australian style barista coffee.

On my trip in Cambridge The Locker became one of my favourite cafes. Alongside the amazing food, the cafe is so cute and quirky, a great vibe and really friendly staff. My mum and I both had avocado on toast; I had the vegan brunch special which is avocado with peppers and tomatoes. It was the tastiest avocado I’ve ever had! It was quite spicy but cooked amazingly and just delicious! My mum had the avocado with mushrooms and that was also delicious! Their food portions are huge and such good value for money (only £7.50 for the avocado on toast in the picture). The quality of the food is great too. They have lots of other vegan and non vegan options on their menu and it all looked amazing. They also have plenty of cakes, vegan and non vegan, on offer too. The only thing I’d say is that I would like it if they labelled their vegan options on their menu. As the only thing that says vegan on the menu is the avocado special but once I asked the staff said that the mushrooms were also vegan. It would be a lot easier if they labelled the vegan options clearly on the menu so there’s no confusion. Overall though, I love this cafe and even though the menu is simple, it’s all amazing food. I will 100% be returning here when I come back to Cambridge and would recommend to everyone!

We had the vegan brunch cake and coffees. All really nice. Generous too. Super friendly for us and our doggy. Would come regularly if we lived in Cambridge. Thanks guys.

It’s always so busy at the Locker on weekends, we never get a seat inside, but I still enjoy the food and coffee. The vegan brunch toast and dirty chai are a go-to. Hopefully one day we’ll get to experience the inside!

So glad we found this place! The sourdough they use is BEAUTIFUL.. topped with avo, tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, peppers, coriander, lime... Sounds like your regular avo on toast? Believe me, it's SO much more than that
