Flour offers a few vegan pastries, a hummus sandwich, a grain bowl that can be made vegan, and sometimes a vegan daily soup or entree special. I personally didn't enjoy the hummus sandwich I tried, but my boyfriend thought it was fine. The service was slow due to the crowd, but the sandwich wasn't worth the wait. However, if you're in a rush and this is your only option, it's a decent choice. The pastries, on the other hand, are worth the trip. I've tried their vegan chocolate muffin, March carrot muffin, and April banana chocolate muffin, and they were all delicious! I especially recommend the chocolate muffin - it's rich, fluffy, and packed with chocolate flavor.
I have stopped here both on Saturday and Sunday and it has both been packaged paint, so if you want to get some of their delicious pastries, go early! flour has a few vegan pastries, a hummus sandwich, a kind of fo corn dish that can be made vegan, and occasionally a daily suppe or cure special that are vegan. I tried her hummus sandwich and didn't like it especially though my friend was good with it. they also took forever the simple sandwich to prepare, which was not surprising, based on how packed they were, but the end product was not worth waiting. it is a good option if they are in a hurry and this is their only food option, but in any case not a reason to go to flour. the baked pieces, on the other hand, are worth a comedy. I have tried her vegan chocolate muffin, her seasonal carrot muffin in the heart and her seasonal apricot chocolate muffin. all were delicious! the chocolate muffin above all I love. it is rich and fluffy and very, very chocolate. highly recommended.
Flour Bakery is a must stop for breakfast when you are in Boston! Their egg breakfast sandwich is delicious as are their baked goods!
Busy place, friendly staff.French toasts were different but still tasty
This is a small central cafe/bakery. There is ample indoor seating with bar stools and normal tables. Equipped with guest wifi upon asking the staff for the password it is easy to spend more than an hour working on your laptop whilst enjoying a coffee.Food wise I tried an avocado toast and a mozzarella sandwich as well as a heated sticky bun. All three items were excellent and in my oppinion the sandwiches were worth the $10 and $11 pricetag. If you are looking for a quick bite or a sit down breakfast with friends this is a great address.
