The food and service were both good, but the restaurant was a bit too upscale and pricey for our liking.

We had a fantastic meal with excellent service at this restaurant. We highly recommend it. We enjoyed salmon and two different duck dishes, all of which were delicious. One of the duck dishes had a unique blueberry tarragon gastrique that was particularly tasty. I will definitely try to recreate it at home. The dining experience was perfect, with a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person was over $100 for dinner.

This Vermont restaurant is a favorite that never fails to impress! I have been coming here since I was a child and the quality just keeps getting better. They have a great selection of options for kids, as well as a 'young adult' menu with smaller portions of high-quality food for older kids. During my most recent visit, I was particularly impressed by the unique and delicious appetizers, as well as the fantastic portion sizes of the entrees. I started with the duck quesadillas, which were prepared perfectly, and then enjoyed the steak frites for my main course. I also sampled the whitefish, which was deliciously garnished with chimichurri sauce. While the restaurant is on the expensive side, it is perfect for a special 'night out' dinner with delicious food. I will definitely be returning many more times in the future! First timer from Florida it’s served the best food I tasted. Best services from all everyone especially our the server! Best place to eat while you here at the ski resort.

We decided to dine at this restaurant after our attempt to go to a local brew pub for dinner failed due to overcrowding and short staffing. The staff at this restaurant were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Even though I have been dining here for years, this was my first time sitting in the basement area, which had a charming old hunting lodge atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoyed. The food was equally excellent - we particularly loved the baguette with maple butter so much that we ordered a second one for the table. All of the dishes we tried were delicious and creatively prepared; my personal favorite was the tostones, with incredibly tender meat. This restaurant is definitely the top choice for dining at Smuggs!
