L.a. Burdick Handmade Chocolates

This was, without a doubt, the best hot chocolate I've ever had! I ordered a small milk chocolate and finished it in just three sips. Now, two days later, I'm regretting not getting a larger size—I can't stop thinking about it! My friend opted for the Brazil hot chocolate. Although I'm not a fan of dark chocolate, they absolutely loved it. This place is clearly known for its incredibly rich hot cocoa, and it certainly lived up to that reputation. It was thick (in the best possible way) and creamy. L.A. Burdick was the perfect spot to warm up on a cold, rainy night. Plus, the passion fruit dessert was simply extraordinary!

The restaurant isn't very large, featuring only a few tables for dining inside, and it's not particularly comfortable. The desserts are truly delicious, but I was a bit let down by the chocolate; I expected it to be much thicker and creamier, but it turned out to be quite runny. I wouldn't recommend the small treats that resemble French macarons, as they lack the same crispness and lightness as the authentic ones. It's better to stick with the single-portioned chocolates, which are quite impressive! At the entrance of the restaurant, there's a small shop where you can purchase chocolate or little gifts.

I stumbled upon L.A. Burdick with my husband while looking for a place to have a drink. The charming ambiance and serene atmosphere drew us in. We decided to order hot chocolate and some cakes, and ended up spending about an hour there. I absolutely loved my cake and highly recommend trying it. This is definitely a must-visit spot!

The chocolate drink was incredibly rich; we chose the cold chocolate this time.

A great hot chocolate place in the winter with a variety of pastries and hot chocolates. The atmosphere was good too but there isn’t much seating. It can be busy at times but the line generally goes quickly. I really enjoyed the pastries when I’ve gotten them. It also can get a bit loud when busy. A very cozy place though.
