River View At The Point was very close, but because of the median in the middle of Rt. 50 we had to get back to the river bridge and then back to it. The only bottom is the signage for the restaurant has font that is small and difficult to recognize. I almost drove over again. It is located directly on the local community with the huge sail shadow. There is a very prominent real estate sign behind the building and this kind has thrown us away. With that said, go slowly when you come from the eastern side of the river bridge and you will see it. As far as food is concerned, I had the fish and chips basket and my husband had the shells and fries basket. They were both delicious. The fish is mahi mahi mahi and has a nice light crispy beer batter. It was really good, and I highly recommend it. My husband had the shells and they were really good. The server was very friendly, and it came several times at the table to check our drinks, etc. There is a steady stream of people who come to pick up orders, as well as people who stop for lunch.
It was a great place! Service was good, food was excellent! Come on!
Nice surprise! The crab cake was absolutely delicious! If it had a filler in it, I couldn't find it. It was served hot and crispy with delicious potato wafers. The filled shrimps were excellent. The shrimps were large and the imperial sauce was full of crabs. The crab dive was one of the best I ever had. It was creamy and full of crab and served with a small bread. Sweet tea was right. The salad bar was good, but nothing from the usual. The service was average. I will definitely stop there when I go through Cambridge!
AMAZING The atmosphere as wonderful the service was awesome the crab balls were delicious
My wife and I went to River view with skepticism after the last few attempts to open a restaurant at this location. We were duly impressed with the friendly waitress who took care of us, Brandy cheerfully recited the evenings specials and soup of the day with ease and took our order, I had the fried flounder which was lightly fried and tender, my wife had the baked stuffed shrimp which is always her fav'. Everything tasted great and was prepared in a crisp and timely manor,......will definitely be back to sample more of their menu.
