Alternatively you can substitute the chicken sandwhich for a Falafel Sandwich Fries at no extra cost. For $4 we werent expecting much, but the burger was huge. the bread was nicely toasted, with an aioli, the chicken was crispy and paired well with the pickles. They also gave a generous amount of fries. Surprisingly the did not require us to purchase a drink to get this deal. But I got one anyways since there was a Harpoon rep there that day giving out harpoon merch with every order of a beer, so I got to take home a pint glass too. They have a decent beer selection. All the beers were reasonably priced $6-9 each) The place had a nice bar atmosphere and wasn 't loud either. We went around 7, so maybe it would have been louder if we went later in the day.
This place recently opened back up so we gave it a try for dinner. If you aren 't a fan of blasting AC when it 's over 90 and humid out, then this place is for you. It was slightly cooler in here than outside. didn 't feel like much ventilation moving the air. The burgers came out before the appetizers. They call appetizers shareables here so maybe they justifies it? His burger was supposed to be caramelized onions but it came out with raw onions. I 'm mainly giving this one star because both of us got food poisoned. My stomach was hurting! Went once before bed. Another time after I went to bed. And now after my alarm went off in the AM, I 'm on the throne again. My ahole is telling me to never go back.
Barbie prefers the Black Horse tavern. But she often goes to the White Wh**es Tavern. I go there with her, I mean, it's pretty much named after me. I haven't really seen a more British looking pub anywhere in the USA and it honestly could be picked up and plopped down in England and it would look exactly right. However they're offering some more stuff on the American side and it's a little expensive and definitely the food is very American. Still four stars for looking awesome and being in a good location.
Decided to come out here for a casual date night with my husband since we saw a pool table and a few arcade games like the basketball one! Came on a Thursday night around 7pm and we appreciated that the music isn't super loud yet we enjoyed the vibes here. Service was really nice. I will say, whenever I go to a bar, I don't really expect much for bar food. However, I gotta say, their food was actually quite decently good especially for such reasonable prices! We got Buffalo Brussel sprouts, hot chicken sandwich, steak tips (with garlic mashed potatoes and salad) and a cocktail called pink coconut lemonade. With tip and tax, it was just above $50, which is great in Boston. First, for the drink, I love how you can subtly taste the coconut definitely gives the lemonade an extra kick. The Buffalo brussel sprouts was my favorite. The flavor was just on point. I enjoyed the hot chicken sandwich more than the steak tips as the steak tips were quite dry but for right under $15, I really can't complain! The mashed potatoes were so tasty too. Definitely plan on bringing some friends here!
I still had room for a beer and stopped in to White Horse for a frosty beverage. Nice place with the pool tables at one side and a large bar in the center. Maybe not classy but definitely upscale. They do check ID 's here, but I managed to sneak in just before they started doing that. They have a wifi which worked well for my Yelping!
