We had business in that section of town and stopped by for lunch. It was on the early side for the rush, and we had all kinds of choice of tables. We were greeted cordially by a hostess, and told we could sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the windows, but with an unobstructed view of the T.V., on which the Open was being played. A smiling server approached with menus, and took our drink orders (as usual, ice water and lemon). A few moments later, she returned with good-sized glasses, and then took our food order. My spouse opted for liver with bacon and onions and mashed potatoes. Given my love for English pub food, I decided on the bangers and mash. Each was $12.00, a decent price. About ten minutes later, the food arrived. The liver was plentiful (two pieces) and very tender; the bacon and onions were a succulent adjunct. My bangers and mash were just what I expected, although I had never had them before surrounded by baked beans (though I enjoyed those, as well!). They were covered in gravy. Both meals left us with no desire for further food of any kind by the time we had downed them. It was a solid positive food experience. The price was appropriate, and we expect to return at a future date when we are in the area. I should add that the restaurant was very clean, as was the men's room (a good indicator, I believe, of the cleanliness of the kitchen!).
My Wife & I stayed at the Homewood Suites next door and decided to check out the surroundings. We happened to come across this pub style restaurant. After checking the menu the nice Waitress copied for us, we decided to try it out for diner. All I can say their fish & chips was one of the best we've ever tasted while being at a very reasonable price. Great Service to boot.
Was surprised at how busy it was for a Tuesday night at 7pm. The atmosphere is great, a crowd of all ages, TV's so you don't miss any sports, also a large variety of beer and food. The burger and fries are fantastic and highly recommended.
It was a typical British Pub, lots of folks hanging out at the bar, nice seating set up for people there to eat. Staff were friendly and it had good comfort food. A nice evening out for a meal with friends,
The service is usually above average. The food is mostly pub food, but I've never had anything here that wasn't good. Great beer selection. Usually plenty of scenery.
