We were glad we did, the sever greeted us very friendly and let us sit anywhere as the restaurant wasn't busy, we chose a booth. The food is excellent quality as good as any Indian Restaurant in Canada, we chose the lunch special which is styled like some Indian Restaurants in Britain where you choose the meat and then a sauce making your own choice. I had not experienced this in Canada before. All the usual meat and popular sauces are available. We chose a butter chicken and lamb with creamy spinach (Saag Lamb), the spinach sauce was one of the best I have had. The portions are large and come in a stylish square bowl and accompanied with a bowl of plain rice and naan bread. The price was $12.99 for lamb and $11.99 for chicken this included the Naan. So even though it's from a lunch special you are getting ala carte portions.Highly recommend you try this restaurant, it's not a typical Indian Restaurant as it's the bar for the adjoining Travel Lodge hotel. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the food was served pretty quickly.
We had takeout from here recently and found it to be very good. We ordered the assorted cheese naan, the butter chicken and chicken shahi korma. The food was made quickly but it was great quality. The rice was cooked properly and the flavors were all good. We will be returning for a meal very soon!
Excellent Indian food in a pub style atmosphere with Canadian style food options as well. Friendly and quick service from knowledgeable staff. Most of the food is tasty and inviting. Reasonably priced.
The customer service here is outstanding. A few in my family have multiple food restrictions but they accommodate perfectly, will do whatever we need (ie sub coconut milk for cow's milk). One time my friend asked for a dish that wasn't even on the menu and the chef made it for her. The food is so flavourful and fresh and delicious. Definitely a must try!
Once we determined the delivery service would reach my rural address the order was placed. I picked a few items and I had the restaurant pick a few items. Food arrived a bit late but not the fault of Saffron. In three words TASTY, SPICY, BALANCED and left overs for another meal the next day.I cant wait to eat at the restaurant if the delivery was this good.
