The Village Well - Cambridge

We were in the village of Hespler and actually looking for a restaurant we found in a local paper. Walking down the street, we ventured into the Village Well and thought it was a bar only but the waitress smiled and asked if we wanted to eat, told us about the date night special which was $35 for an appetizer, 2 entrées and dessert. After looking at the menu, we decided on jalapeno poppers, hamburgers and fries and cheesecake for dessert. So glad we decided to stay! Lots of choices with food and beer. Appetizer was pretty good. Live music also later on. While waiting for our entrees, the owner (can't remember his name) came over and chatted with us, asked where we were from and told us the history of the building, it's very rustic and original. Our burgers and fries arrived and were amazing! And then, the chocolate swirl cheesecake was so good and such a generous piece too! The service was fantastic too and the owner came over and said goodbye and hope to see us again. I felt this was beyond a regular restaurant visit. Do yourself a favour and come here!

Wednesday wing night... boom! Date night Saturday... boom!Karaoke Friday... blam!The food was top notch pub grub served by friendly staff. They have tons of great beers on tap, and the building has a wonderful charm. I kinda want to kiss Tim every time I see him, and I'm married!

This has been in business for over a year. Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Good food. Very reasonably priced. Will be back and definitely you should give it a try.

Menu was simple pub faire, food was well presented and delicious. Service was good - excellent selection of beer on tap. Every Friday seems to have a band or other event going on. Strongly recommend you try- good luck finding a seat on a busy Friday night!

This is one of fav - local bar with small town service and awesome burgers! Also - the staff take the time to get to know you so you feel welcome there all the time... Local beers and local entertainment are additional favs! You must try it out and stay for a while!
