Contribuisci feedbackHonestly, the food is decent. The chicken curry rice is especially tasty, with tender chicken and a perfectly balanced curry sauce. The staff at the counter are always polite as well. However, the prices are quite high. A lunch dish with a drink could easily set you back £10 or more! The restaurant is situated in a budget-friendly area, but their prices exceed even those in China Town. It's unclear what the owner is thinking.
I am a big fan of Chinese cuisine, so I decided to stop by Mayling on my way home from work last night. I have dined at Mayling on multiple occasions before. My go-to dishes are usually Singapore noodles and barbecue ribs. The noodles were delicious as always, but unfortunately, for the second time in a row, the ribs were tough and not enjoyable. My daughter also loves Chinese food, so she was disappointed that I had it without her last night, prompting us to have it again tonight. She ordered vegetable spring rolls with chicken chow mein and absolutely loved it. I stuck with the Singapore noodles but opted for squid instead of the ribs, and both dishes were very satisfying. I asked my daughter to mention the issue with the ribs on our last two visits, but this feedback did not seem to be well-received. It seems that the ribs are a popular dish among other customers, but they just aren't to my taste. It's possible that the lunchtime rush may have influenced the quality of the ribs in the evening, as suggested by another diner. I believe that Mayling could benefit from being more open to feedback, showing humility, and offering an apology for the disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we have decided not to order takeout from Mayling again.
I enjoy this restaurant. The staff is helpful and the food is satisfactory. I appreciate the solid wood bench-style tables. The Malaysia fried rice, Singapore fried rice, and chicken noodle dishes are particularly tasty. While the prices are a bit high, the overall experience is positive. -Great food.
I made an order and noticed that the prices have been significantly increased. Now, I would never deny any business the right to improve their business but there also has to be so something in it for the consumer, their customer. However, adding 10.6% increases in the menu was quite a shock. Maylings prices are just a short step below that if Chinatowns restaurant prices. Yet the quality us considerably poorer. The chow mein and spare ribs I had last night was so greasy, it was revolting. I became full up not by the food itself but by the repelling of forcing any more grease into my digestive system. I felt sick afterwards and I can't begin to tell you how revolting my farts smelt even for a connoisseur of flatulent pastimes like myself. I blame this on the grease content and not the function of my colon.
I have visited here a couple of times before. Lovely food great service. I phoned through my order after viewing the menu online picked up at the time given, all was waiting for me good to go. Would recommend this place, 5-10 mins walk from Euston train station or grab a Boris bike
