Great vibes service. We sat for coffee and even though they seemed short staffed we were served fairly quickly. Smashed avocado on toast was delicious poached egg cooked perfectly. Sunday morning walk coffee, this is your place!
I find myself in a dilemma when it comes to melrose and morgan. While their food is lovely, it simply costs too much
We were looking for a place for a light lunch where we could sit outside as a Covid precaution and Melrose and Morgan seemed to fit the bill. The interior of the establishment was rather impressive and quite trendy with 'home made ' food offerings and an artisan atmosphere. The staff were helpful and took time to deal with my wife 's food allergies which was positive. Externally the tables and chairs might have been smarter. Unfortunately it was the catering that let the place down. I ordered sourdough toast that arrived overly toasted and had the consistency of a biscuit. My wife 's bagel was, ironically rather underdone and her coffee was no more than average. The fare is not cheap so the experience was a little disappointing.
Very slow service for two cups of coffee. Croissants, Pains du Chocolat etc exposed to anybody queueing to cough or sneeze on. (No glass covering or cloche) Expensive. Egg Mayo sandwich so tough I couldn't cut it with a knife fork.
