Museum Tavern - Camden

We thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and charming staff at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, especially the steak pie and fish and chips. We highly recommend this spot for travelers looking for a fun pub experience. Be sure to say hi to Sam, the bartender, who is not only great at his job but also super fun to chat with.

Located just steps away from the British Museum, this old pub offers a variety of beers, ales, ciders, and spirits. We did not try the food, so we cannot provide any information on that. The interior is filled with charm, with pictures and writings on the walls that tell the story of this historic place. When the bell rings, it's just 30 minutes until last call.

This is a friendly, no nonsense pub that serves food at very reasonable prices for Central London. The range of beer is fine. IPA was £2.50 on special promotion! It was also Karl Marx’s haunt when he used the British Museum library. The pub has many fine Victorian features. This is the best value, historic pub in Central London, hence the 5* rating.

Came to this excellent tavern as part of a Haunted Bloomsbury walking tour. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgable regarding the gins on offer and therefore the ladies were very happy. The staff also looked after us advising us to move our belongings and thus remove any opportunity for us to lose them. I would recommend this classic London Pub to anyone in an instant.
