It seemed as though it had been dropped from a great height onto the plate. We weren't offered any drinks, so we had to settle for tap water. The burgers were mediocre at best, and some even came without a bun, showing a lack of understanding of what makes a good burger. The bartender barely smiled and didn't offer us any drinks either. Despite hinting at wanting the bill, it took multiple requests for it to finally arrive. The highlight of the meal was reading the menu, as it provided interesting information on where the meat came from. Sadly, this was the best part of the meal.
Visited on a Tuesday evening and the place was full. Good atmosphere and service was friendly and quick. The steak and venison were cooked to perfection
Great place, no frills and decent food. Although my only problem is that although the portions are fine I'm always left hungry. 2 burgers are easy to manage. Guess that's not a bad thing!
Lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff and the owner Andy is incredibly proud of his restaurant (and rightly so). Veni moo burger was sensational best I've ever had. Haggis pops and the venison tartare were also absolutely amazing. Not to mention the volumes of whisky choice! Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
They've moved to gt twitch fields tree and it's really good, a light lunch venison steak frites 12.50 bargain, very tasty and service great. Lovely location away from the hoards of oxford circus Wine menu offers a great range to accompany your meal also, very enjoyable I will be going back
