The food was made quick. I'm pretty sure the j chicken was a couple of days old or just way over cooked. It was so dry that it was like chewing chalk in my mouth. While chewing it was turning into like sawdust. The steam veggies had a good flavor but they were Luke warm. The rice was good and hot. They only have can soda and Walmart bottle water to drink. I will say the meal was price reasonable everything I got was like $11. If the food was hot and fresh I would say it's probably worth it. Considering the chicken was so dry I didn't think I would come back here there are too many other restaurants to try.
Stopped on way home from the beach. Burgers are delicious! Sampled Jamaican food for the first and it was delicious (oxtail was our favorite, tastes like a chuck roast, very tender and flavorful). Cook and waitress were extremely nice!
What a treat to find authentic Jamaican cuisine and experience the beautiful culture and charm of the Caribbean right in my hometown of Camden. My family has had beef patties, oxtail, peas and rice, both curry and j chicken and everything is always ON POINT! The owner and staff were friendly, attentive and felt like family. My mouth is watering now anticipating our next visit! 5 STARS?
I tried Curry Chicken Rice and beans with Cabbage, very good, Staff very personable, Much Love put into their efforts
Highly recommend the Jamaican chicken plate. It was sooo good. Very well seasoned and the chicken was juicy and fall off the bone. The rice and sweet plantains are a must too! I will be back for sure. Oh and the lady running the place was absolutely lovely and so helpful.
