Captain George's Fish and Chips

I ordered a halibut fish dinner along with a side of well-done chips. However, when I received my takeout box, it was not very full and the chips were not cooked to my liking. The portion size was very small and seemed like the cheapest item on the menu. I was also disappointed by the high price for what I received. I gave the restaurant another chance after a previous disappointing experience, but I was let down once again and have not returned since.

I ordered the haddock platter last Friday for dinner and took it home. My wife and I enjoyed the perfectly cooked fish, crispy fries, juicy shrimp, tender scallops, and delicious coleslaw. Even after the drive home, the food still tasted great. We visited the restaurant again while in Campbellford for lunch, and ordered more delicious food. The fries were amazing, and the onion rings were tasty. The lesson learned is to eat the food while it's hot and fresh, as this restaurant offers great quality food for a reasonable price.

I only like two Georges, and this restaurant is one of them, along with Belleville. The waitress was friendly and a pleasure to meet.

The portions are huge and filling. the Halibut battery was right. not overcooked. excellent fresh frits. very satisfied with our meals. at the price you can't go wrong! worth a visit.

I eat here often. I always order the yummy halibut and chips. Staff is friendly. Plenty served and fair price. Enjoy!
