Contribuisci feedbackLive in campbellton in covid 19 and we tried to decide where we order out. we decided that we would try this restaurant because we heard good things about it. eating was fantastic, just like homemade and the smell of pizza to foot. the place was from this world, and it tasted as good as it smelled. because we were in the middle of the pandemic, we had to pick up the service, but the young lady working on the theke was very friendly, nice and easy to talk. we will definitely eat again from here.
If they are looking for delicious, homemade meals and very good value, this is the place right at the foot of the Campbellton Bridge. do not let the simple, diner style decor they fool. these ladies work hard and serve good eating. excellent! i. also ad spaghetti au gratin (neither court was shy with the cheese)!
Excellent prices for home cooked meals . services great staff is excellent n super friendly! owner is super cool!
Waited and waited and waited. we are ignored after 10 minutes. the waitress was very slow and confused. almost feels like it changed.
On our recent trip to the Gaspésie, we were hungry and decided to cross into Campbellton, N.B. for a quick lunch, and then get back on the road. We stayed to the main drag, and finally found Le Resto 24 Heures. We parked for a...moment, but then decided to go elsewhere. Maybe it was a premonition of things to come! Unfortunately, we couldn't find anything else interesting. The only place that looked decent ewas closed permanently while seeking a new owner. So, we went back to the Resto 24 Heures. A burly young woman eventually came to our table and took our order. There was one other table with clients at that time. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich my wife), a large breakfast with eggs over and three kinds of meat (the grandson), and a western omelette for me. Then we waited ... And waited ...and waited! Approximately 30 minutes later, I received my order. Two minutes later, the grandson's toast arrived, but not his meal. About five minutes after that, his breakfast arrived. My wife's meal arrived last, about three or four minutes later. I have to mention that, after my western omelette arrived, everyone told me to start eating, which I did. BUT, Then I noticed that there was a ton a melted, yellowy cheese on top of the folded part of the omelette. To me, a Western omelette should be composed of pieces of ham, green pepper and onions mixed into the eggs, sautéd and folded over. Another thing was that the plate was half covered with large chunks of fried potatoes. I called the waitress over and told her that I did not want the dish, as I am allergic to certain processed cheeses, so I would never have ordered the dish had it mentioned on the menu that there was cheese in it. I asked for two eggs over, bacon and baked beans instead. While the others ate, I kept asking if their food was OK. The other two plates were also half-covered with home fried potatoes. My wife's chicken sandwich seemed edible, but sort of greasy on the inside. The grandson, who will eat anything at his age (13), was shocked to find his two over easy eggs both smashed and overly cooked. Still, he ate most of what was on his dish. As for me, I was still waiting for my two over-easy with bacon, toast, bsked beans AnND just a few home fries. The waitress went to the kitchen several times to speak to the other person there. Then she came into the resto area and made a lot of noise rearranging the tables. Finally, she brought my dish, which again was half full of home fries, and had two well-cooked fried eggs. The bacon was thick, but tasted very good. I began to eat, and was just about finished when the waitress arrived with the baked beans. One taste of then told me they were tepid and tasteless. I sort of snorted and muttered under by breath terrible which the waitress must have heard. Finally, the ordeal was over. I asked for the bill. When I arrived at the cash, I have to admit, that the waitress did the right thing. She refused to charge for the meal, saying that we did not like the food, so we did not have to pay for it! I was surprised, but accepted this, as it was the only correct thing to do. Not one of us ate a complete meal. However, we all have a story to tell others. Maybe the resto was short staffed? I can't believe a 24-hour resto could serve such poor food on a regular basis, and stay in business ... Not in town like Campbelltown. It just did not make sense for just about everything to be so bad! Are there any others out there who have used this resto and been satisfied? I'd like to know, and would go back next year if I am wrong about the place. I am not an expert, but I like my restaurant experience to be, at least, acceptable for quality and service.
