Four of us visited Riva Boathouse in Sa Rapita last night and enjoyed ever minute of it. Starting with the friendly welcome and then came the quality of the food. The owner is very passionate about food and it really was obvious. We started with olives, deliciously marinated in the kitchen and accompanied with a lovely sauce an fresh bread. The mussel soup and salad as starter was thoroughly enjoyed by my friends. My choice of the salmon with fresh wasabi and wakame was well worth it. A very good balance with a mango sauce. Three of us enjoyed BBQ fresh, whole, fish. The other person in our group had the salad with goats cheese. The house Rose was very nice and I’m not a Rose drinker. A delicious meal with great service and humour also. For me it all starts with fresh produce and then a genuine passion of balance and timing to get it right. This restaurant had this. My only regret was not trying the homemade lemonade but shall try that next time. Highly recommended by all four of us. Thank you to the owner, waitress and kitchen staff.
