The first time I took breakfast, cappuccino and omelette both very delicious and second time an amazing “Bobotie” for lunch. The atmosphere is very cosy and the amazing staff makes you feeling very comfortable! Next time it will be my first choice!
Howdy Y 'All!Had lunch with a dear ol ' friend at this lovely lovely spot in the Southern Suburbs.Met Len, the owner and chatted a bit..(well, I chatted myself into an appetite really .He is so creative, we admired his arty calendars and birthday cards. So gifted.
Ellen Jay is a little cafe gem secretly hidden inside the Constancia Fabric store. Sit inside a Soho styled dinning area complete with the sound of soft running water which forms part of the triple story pond set just outside the double volume stackable french doorway, and enjoy their cafe selection of phyllo pastries, salmon salads or homemade baboti and you'll fall in love with their decor and food instantly. Their service is above average, with ice cold water carafes set upon your tables when you're seated to quench your thurst. While heavy linen table clothes and napkins in trendy colours line the tables. It's an absolute delight to take guest's to enjoy light meals or decadent cakes and coffees at Ellen Jay. Highly recommended
Such a lovely gem of a cafe, tucked away within Constantia Fabrics. A warm and friendly atmosphere with delightful furnishings. Excellent light meals complete the welcoming ambience. Highly recommended.
What a special place this is! Len and Johann always make you feel special, welcoming all like long lost friends. I had lunch and a catch-up with a special friend, both of us having their smoked salmon and cream cheese salad, followed by cappuccinos (works of art). Delicious!
