They have authentic artifacts from World War II and World War I, including full-size planes, cannons, cars, weapons, and more. The view from the tomb of the unknown soldier is breathtaking, with a stunning view of the parliament building on the other side.
The War Memorial is a great way to remember the fallen and learn about the wars Australia was in. WWI, WWII, Vietnam war, Korean war and many more are included. There are countless artifacts and bits of information which tell visitors about Australia's part in the wars mentioned above. Unfortunately when I visited it was under renovation, although when it is done I will come again and see all the War Memorial has to offer.
Every Australian should visit this place and bring their children along. It is a must-see experience that will give you chills. Walking through this building is a moving experience that pays tribute to our fallen heroes. Do not miss the opportunity to see it.
Very interesting and informative, they were so young, quite emotional. Still undergoing renovations and the Vietnam section is currently closed off.
Was very moving and so much material has been collected and preserved from battles of the past and memories of those special moments of human kindness which flourished in such terrible times.
