There's a cafe and a restaurant too and the food is delicious, usually a vegan option. We had rice with daal and a vegetable curry and it was really good, tasted like homemade food. House brewed chai was also delicious. Friendly staff and great service.
Have been looking for a food store that focusses on ethical and sustainable products, supports local producers the community, and where i can bring my own containers and buy just the amounts i need. The Food Co-op does all this and more!
$7 food for students, a big bowl of food, $4 for refilling it. Beautiful people work there, very nice and friendly vibe, books to read, definitely go there more often
Love the free dinner on Sundays, usually starts around 6 pm so get in a little early as there's always a line now. The food is incredible and they have the best bread. Bring Tupperware just in case they have leftovers! A really good spot to study as well, very welcoming and lovely atmosphere. Love the people who work/volunteer there, most importantly be kind!
The Food Co-op is a fantastic place to buy your essential cooking and cleaning products without any of the waste the supermarket makes. There's a nice space to hang out and have a coffee and they host many fabulous events. It's a great space to hire. They've got a great community built around them and they have good ethics. Everyone is super friendly too!
