From the moment we went in the front door, we were amazed. From the establishment, the service and the food was all ten.
We were getting rained on in the outdoor mall and weren't really in the mood to shop anyway. With no expectations, we ran inside this place around 4pm. The decor and ambiance instantly appealed to us. It wasn't very busy at that time, and service was top notch but not bothersome (as good service can sometimes be . I ordered the tuna tartare and sliders and my husband ordered the calzone pizza. These dishes sound simple and ordinary, but they were prepared and presented in a fashion that was neither. Every bite was delicious and the whole experience was similar to high end restaurants we've visited in Las Vegas. They also offered an extensive martini and wine list. As far as the decor, if you've ever been to the Venetian in Vegas, I believe that's a good comparison for LaMadonna. Price wise there's no comparison. It wasn't a cheap meal, but for all that we had, it was reasonably priced. The only downside I can think of is that the location being in a mall gives it a crowd you wouldn't expect in such a place. There were two different tables with fussy, whiney toddlers. We have a sometimes difficult toddler we left home with grandma, so it didn't ruin the meal for us (we didn't have to deal these kids!; , but it may be a big turn off for others. This place was an all around great experience for us! Highly recommend. PS: Almost forgot to mention the carmelized pineapple ring with vanilla ice cream covered in banana liqueur was to die for! And big enough for 2, although I didn't want to share. The chocolate ravioli was the only thing I tasted there that was just ok. The ravioli was too hard and the chocolate inside was minimal.
La Madonna is my favorite place in Cancun! The service is great, the martinis are awesome, the olive tempanade is to die for, and the decor and ambience is very beautiful and classy! I never visit Cancun without making at least one visit to La Madonna!!!
Wow. I couldn’t find anything bad to say if I tried. The service is excellent, the decor and atmosphere are phenomenal, and the prices very reasonable. Not to mention one of the best cocktail menus anywhere. Bravo.
