It is beautifully decorated, and very open as it shares the space with a souvenir shop where we could see the local artists hand painting little trinkets. The food was good. We ordered some beef and vegetables dish (do not remember the name). The price for the meal, which was enough for two, and two beers was about $17. Not cheap but we felt it was fair for a tourist place. Now, the highlight was our server, Andres, a young, personable man whom seemed to enjoy his job. Not only was his service to us excellent, I observed him catering to patrons at other tables and he gave the same excellent service to them as well.
We ordered the mixed seafood. The menu said it was good for 2 people but when the food arrived, I was shocked by the amount of food, probably good for four. We had a full fried fish (grouper, I think), two lobster tails, shrimps, grilled octopus, clams, and a myriad of vegetables, even grilled cactus. Overall, the food was very good, we needed help from our kids to finish all the food! We were also serenaded by a mariachi band!
Food was good and finally got our bill. Electronic printed bill but the math didn’t add up. It seemed to add to 414 pesos including the taxes. The bill was 540 pesos. I asked the waitress about it and she promptly came back with a bill right at 414 pesos like I thought. I wonder how many other people get scammed this way.
