Candolim is full of the hustle and bustle of tourism; but in the midst of the rush is a lovely and beautiful looking place Adelaide. This eye catching restaurant is run by a Goan family Sandra, Krishna and their son Ketan who put in a lot of effort to make sure the food is consistent and delicious. We tried the Continental and Goan section and it did not disappoint one bit. The Goan masalas used here aren't store bought, they're made at home by Sandra and that itself is testament to the delicious Goan food here. We tried the following: Adelaide Special, Pepperoni Pizza, Roasted Figs with Ham, Prawns Rawa Fry, Braised Lamb Shoulder, Chicken Supreme, Chicken Cafreal and Prawn Xacuti An Adelaide Special was an interesting blend of flavours, with the deep touch of vodka and rum, the sweetness of the 7up cut through by the acidity of the lime juice with a slight hit of chilli mellowed by the cooling mint. The pizza was delicious owing to the smokey flavour of the pepperoni. We loved that it had a thin crust, keeping you more focused on the toppings. The roasted figs did not fail to impress us. Oven baked figs with a stuffing of blue cheese and walnuts, an unusual and yet a delicious combination. Prawns Rava Fry, a classic Goan starter that never fails to make your mouth water. The braised lamb absolutely blew us away. The lamb was cooked perfectly and just pulled apart effortlessly. The marinade includes rocket which gave the lamb a tasty bite. When eating this, have every element in one bite and you'll really savour the taste the lamb, a piece of the date, some of the rocket and a piece of the wrap. Yet another delicious dish was the supreme. The chicken breast was stuffed with ricotta and spinach. Delicious! Although we loved the vibrant green color of the cafreal, as well as the taste of the masala, the consistency could be a little better. The xacuti had good sized prawns that were cooked perfectly. It looked vibrant and the consistency was spot on. Check out the detailed review on our Instagram page. Adelaide has the most amazing food that I’ve had on all my trips to Goa. The food is so good. At first we ordered the seafood platter [mussels, oysters, fish, prawns, crabs(we asked them to add that all of it was drool worthy. The sea food soup came with two pieces of bread and was full of calamari, prawns and some oysters. The prawn makhwani (butter chicken sort of a gravy only better! was to die for and so was the prawn biryani. The next day we tried the crabmeat wrapped in lettuce with mango salsa, tenderloin steak, seafood pasta, seafood provential, fish bellemeuniere, oyster tempura. All of which was mind blowing. Apart from this the ambience is great and the host is very very sweet and accommodating. We wished we had found this place earlier, every meal in Goa prior to this seemed like a waste of money after eating here. MUST VISIT!!!!!
