Le Bouchon Catalan

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Canet Plage come here on every visit. We are always warmly welcomed by Bruno Frédérick. Barbara I both enjoyed our delicious St Pierre (John Dory). Our Baba carrè au rhum was sensational. A must visit when in Canet.

Went there as a family (2 teenagers in tow) to be greeted by some great service. English language is not there forte but they worked hard to help us through the choices. Wife had Dorade Royale (fish of the day was shown on a platter and all looked very fresh) and I had the Steak. Teenagers had Duck a la orange and calamari. Everyone was very pleased with the food. I topped dinner with a Creme Catalan which was to die for. The chocolate fondant was also a winner. Worth a visit for sure.

Visited for a family evening meal, did not have a reservation but we were able to sit outside which was our preference. Really good quality food. None of us had starters. 2 of us opted for fish main course, (1 sea bream and 1 squid) 2 for meat (1 steak and 1 duck). All beautifully cooked very tasty. Empty plates all round! Would definitely return but next time make a reservation to be sure of a table.

I had the monkfish, which had a very nice taste. My boyfriend had the mixed fish platter which was also very good, although maybe a bit expensive. Also nice to sit at one of the tables outside, and watch people go by The house rose wine was also great. Would give this restaurant 4,5, but since not possible i give it 5

Friendly staff, fab fish (we had monkfish and fish cake), good wine choice (local muscat sec). An all round lovely night. Merci beaucoup!!!
