The restaurant decor is charming. We ordered the Bistro Famous Burger and the Chicken Fried Rice. Both dish tasted decent but I'd recommend the burger from the Corner House right down the street. What disappointed me about this place is their Orange Juice. They said it was 100% fresh orange juice but it was clearly mixed with another orange beverage that is carbonated. I can even slightly taste the carbonation. I have photos that shows the carbonation in the drink. I don't mind that they mixed it but they should be honest about it. Integrity is important. For that reason, I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5.
The ambience and setting is quite magical with its mix of classical cozy furniture, lighting from chandeliers, and botanical table settings. The menu is unique serving fresh lobster though its aroma reminded me of the time I bleached my hair. The crab was not bad, but the prawns were a little overcooked. It could offer more beer selections as well. The side dishes were quite large in servings, albeit the asparagus. Be sure to check the receipt as we were almost charged 60 per side dish instead of the 150 for 3 side dishes.
Great place and very accommodating! We were a group of 40 (mixed with adults and kids) and this venue could not do enough for us. The decor is very charming can keeps ones interest for a while. The food was delicious Truly appreciate recommend a visit to The Bistrot when in Bali. You will not go wrong
Gorgeous setting with mediocre to bad food and slow service. The amazing ricotta pancakes were the only thing stopping us from giving it a 1-Star review. 4 reasons to not visit The Bistrot: 1- Food service was extremely slow 2- Omelette was overly salty 3- Matcha Frappe tasted like a plain milkshake (they were nice enough to change it to an ice latte when we pointed it out) 4- Most disappointing avocado eggs of my life.
