When I asked about vegan dishes, the cook showed me the side of the vegan and vegetarian options, but also some dishes that he developed to possibly be put on the menu. I had something he called a Fajita Pyramid and it was delicious.
I never write reviews. but this place was a complete demolition. $27 for crispy tacos. $25 for a “stir fry” that has sweet chili sauce poured on the whole plate and a tiny little salat with handcrafted Italian dressing. the cook speaks a big game as he knows how to cook. fine food prices for eating would be embarrassing to serve in my house. sweet chili is a flavor used by students and people who do not know how to cook. it is not difficult to make their own salat dressing and if they are a restaurant with fine gastronomic trips, they should make 100 their own quality dressings and sauces. this place lacked any direction or themes that he makes easy, whatever without reference to style or taste. I think I saw medium sea, thai, Lebanese, italian and inder on the menu.
Next to a whole page of the 3 page menu for vegetarian and vegan options, the boss/owner came over and listed a large selection of products that were not on the menu but were available and vegan. it was a bit difficult to keep with, because there were only so many options. for an appetizer we tried the fresh thai salad, which was very freshly tasted. we also had flatbread (which was tortilla) with hummus and baba ganoush. the spreads were very delicious! I had a vegan enchilada that was not on the menu. it was pretty good, though I wish it had a kind of Cashew/Non-Dairy cream sauce. the chef, as he pointed out, which items could or could be made vegan on the menu, said that to make a Alfredo sauce vegan, how to make champagner from apples. (not that I absolutely wanted the alfredo pasta, it was just a remarkable comment from a cook that seems to be very creatiw respectful, I don't agree, and I think the menu could really benefit from a soy- or nut-based cream sauce. Anyway, the whole meal was very nice and we had a nice view of the three sisters from the terrace. it is out of the beaten stretch in canmore (i.e. not on main st,) so it was not busy, and there was a tonn place. it was nice to talk to the owners, and I appreciated the variety and variety of vegan options. updated by previous review on 2019-06-03
I usually don't write reviews and maybe we got such an excellent service because we were the only ones that were there at the time. but this man is a genie when it comes to food, and a developed palette can be needed for some of the foods. he made the menu points that completely roasted me, created the recipe from the top of his head while he explained where the ingredients come, and why that is so important. I'm blown away.
