Today, we visited Craig's Way Station after reading some reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. This casual diner offered delicious food at affordable prices. The staff were friendly and overall, we had a great experience. Despite having been to Canmore many times, we had somehow overlooked this gem. While it may not be upscale, the food is definitely worth a try.
Good food, friendly waiter, and I 'm a big fan of the small diner feel. I hit it up every time I head to Sunshine or Louise! The 'Local Breakfast ' is the way to go even though it 's not on the menu.
Felt like home for a small town boy. When you walk in, it definitely has that small town diner feel and smell. There 's a cooler to the left with the slices of pie with clear food wrap over them, and the staff was warm and welcoming. I had a 'the works ' Omelette with toast and hashbrowns, my wife had the french toast. Both were tasty, and though they weren 't the best I 've ever had, they weren 't the worst. Exceeded my expectations anyway. The service was excellent for being about half full. Had the food in no time, the young man was back to top off the coffees every time we were down to half a cup, and the whole thing cost us $35 with tip. I 'd go back again. It 's a breakfast diner, not a high class restaurant. For what they are, they do well.
We stopped at this restaurant on our way home from Louise yesterday. Our waitress, Cindy, was very lovely and personable. My husband ordered the dinner special, buffalo chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and said it was very good. I ordered the club sandwich with potato soup, which was loaded with cheese, bacon, and sour cream. I highly recommend trying it. My brother-in-law ordered the ham and eggs and he also enjoyed his meal. I would recommend this place for any meal: breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
