Once again, for us, it was faultless. We had the amazing value 78¢ lunch menu, which includes about 6 courses and a bottle of wine between two, and coffee. The welcome was lovely, the service just right - attentive, informative and friendly, without being too stuffy. It is easy to relax here and enjoy the experience and the views. Each dish was very good - we both had different versions of the menu and all of the dishes were impressive, with beautiful flavours bursting with each mouthful. If I remember correctly, every dish had a sauce poured over or around it, but we expect that in France. We can't wait to go again and would thoroughly recommend it, but I think we would always go for the realistically priced lunch menu.
We had booked this restaurant as the highlight of our stay in France. On arrival we were greeted by very professional staff and given the most amazing table at the front of the terrace overlooking the sea and promenade. The innovative menu format was intriguing and excellently paired with a personal written introduction from Cristian Sinicropi. My wife and I both went for the menu Degustation. Every dish was an amazing burst of flavour and really showcased each ingredient. If I was to be overly critical this did mean that the dishes were slightly on the small side and with this size it could have done with one more. The evening was going amazingly well up to our cheese course. We were shown the cheese trolley by one of the waiters who instead of describing the cheeses as you would expect merely said these are the goats cheeses and these are the sheep milk cheeses. I enquired about a specific goats cheese and all he said is that it was a goats cheese. I asked if it was hard, he replied semi-hard. I asked if he could give any more detail and he just replied, “No”. I was utterly amazed not only at the lack of information but his complete rudeness. You would never dream of hearing that from somewhere like Le Gavroche. After that he served us dessert and actually started walking off as he completed the explanation of the dish. He obviously didn’t want to be there and this should have been picked up by his manager. This left a very bitter note from the whole experience which was such a shame as the kitchen and the rest of the front of house were fantastic.
We had a perfect dinner during the Festival of Pyrotechnic Art of Cannes. This restaurant doesn't have just excellent food: all details have been planned including tableware, the presentation of menu and the timing of service. I noticed just one mistake during the dinner: I got a pigeon main course a bit too late, because I couldn't finish eating before fireworks. This was a minor issue, and partly caused my own need to enjoy and delay.
Only 2 star Michelin Restaurant in Cannes, located 2nd floor in Hotel Martinez, quite chic with a very nice view.Bread basket with butter & Focaccia bread with olive oil also bento boxes (with cheese delights) were tasty. You can choose a menu with 3 courses from ' Movement' the box menu (lamb, pigeon, vegetable, seafood, prawn) or A' la carte, we ' ve ordered pigeon and lamb menus, prefer pigeon. The food was delicous but the waiting time between courses was a lot. The service was relevant and recommended wine was succesfull. The atmosphere was boring because even on a friday evening the restaurant was quite empty.I recommend;Pigeon carpaccio with caviar,A kind of ravioli with bacon and 'poivre d’âne' herb (Lamb menu)Pigeon confit legs,Chocate tart and pigeon.
Restaurant with more than 30 years of history and traditions, laid, of course, the famous film festival. Here on the walls hang portraits of stars, some even with autographs. And the names of dishes in the menu are suggested to the chef by famous directors. For example, in a restaurant you can taste snacks called "Outstretched hand: part 2" or fish dish "Space bottle".It's no surprise that Michelin-based inspectors who appreciate the quality of the kitchen are so fond of this restaurant. Now on his menu flaunts the whole two stars. This means that you can come to Cannes only in order to appreciate the skill of the local chef.
